  • I work full time and have little time for a wide range of hobbies but I have recently discovered gardening, which is probably an age thing or may be bourne out of necessity. It is a case of either keeping on top of things or learning to live with a jungle.

    I enjoy coastal/country walks and would like a friend with whom I can enjoy and share this pleasure. I also enjoy the theatre, listening to a wide range of music and travelling but not alone.

    I am a very loyal, honest and extremely reliable person, not very outgoing and reasonably shy until I get to know someone and can trust them. Many people discribe me as 'a very nice person', which sounds boring but I guess is complimentary. I am a born optimist, not self centred, dislike mixing in large groups and find arrogant, loud and brash people extremely irritating.

    I like to think that I care about my appearance and I tend to dress for the occasion and this can range fron 'scrubbing up well' and looking very attractive, well groomed and smart or wearing very casual wear, hair clipped up and little evidence of make up if wanting to relax or gardening etc.

    I am very considerate of other people, extremely well mannered and like to see this in others. I am not a chatterbox and do not feel uncomfortable with silence as long is it with someone with whom I can trust and feel at ease with. I do have a humourous side and have a knack of making people laugh, which on occasion is not intentional.

    My idea of a perfect date would probably be a good walk in the country or coast and then a good cup of coffee and a light bite or I would like to go for a very good meal, good bottle of wine and good conversation.

    I love to go on city break holidays e.g. London, Paris, New York, site seeing etc or a cultural type of holiday to somewhere like Italy. Sun, sea and sand holidays don't do it for me!

    I don't like boring people by talking about me me me but I am very interested in hearing about other people, which i know sounds a little one sided but thats the way I am.
