I've only just seen over on the the Local Dublin Forum that our friend Richard_dev2000 aka Richard Whitfield passed away in April.

Last year Richard E-mailed me with a link to his Website, it contained everything that mattered to him.

Photo's, Music, Memories etc, I'm sure Richard would not object if I shared it with you today in memory of a dear friend.

Richard Whitfield died April 18th Rest in Peace.

So sorry to hear of Richards passing.  What a lovely gentleman he was.  We spent many a late night, early morning for Richard, chatting, and sharing thoughts and stories.   His love for his wife was unending, he spoke of her often.  Richard would "sing" complete songs on line,, and if I knew it we would do every other line, he was great fun in the room. He will be missed...................Sam

We are very sad to learn about the passing of Richard. According to his daughter he was very found of the Club and made some wonderful friends in the chatroom.
Thank you Joan (Cliath) for sending a sympathy card on behalf of all his friends in the club.

"There is really very little that one can do or say
To help you bear the sorrow
That is in your heart today
But may it somehow confort you
Throughout the days to be
To know your dear one
Will live on
In loving memory.."

I did know Richard as much as many of you but did have the chance to converse with him a few times he came across as a wonderful man who found peace with in himself and could make you feel the same with his words of wisdom and encouragement. Evev though he is no longer of this world he will always be part of our memories and live on every time we think of him....He will always be thought of well in my thoughts!

I had held off posting the sympathy card on to Richards’s daughter when I realised last week that some people had not read the post I put in the Dublin forum. If it is ok with all of you above, I will include your thoughts, words of sympathy in the card and will post it out this Wednesday at the latest. (I will hold off just in case some others read this thread).

Aww,  Richard  .. I am so sorry he is no longer with us.  Richard was one of my first friends on 50's plus.
He shared his poetry, humor and wisdom with me.  Always offered to put  the kettle on for us.
I am lucky to have been able to share some time with him.    ~  Rest in Peace my Friend ~
