Spicey Rice.
1 cup rice....I like rice blends
2 Tablespoons vegtable oil
1 small onion chopped
4 peices of garlic chopped
1 teaspoon fennel seeds
1 Tablespoon sesame seeds (optional)
1 1/2 teaspoon turmeric
1 teaspoon cumin
1 teaspoon salt
2 whole cloves
5 black peppercorns
2 cups vegetable stock
pinch of cayenn pepper..(if you like it hotter then more)
cut onion and garlic up and fry in oil untill tender....add all of the spices along with rice and vegetable stock. Simmer for about 30 mins or what type of rice you are using. After rice is almost done cover and let stand for 5 minuates.
This has a nice flavour and beats the plain rice....try it and let me know what ya think
