I have a beautiful 10 year-old quarterhorse. I do classic (english) riding and love it.

This is my baby and I adore him even when he acts up like a teenager loll. He makes me laugh, he is my confident and is better than a gym for exercise and keeping in shape.

So are there people who share this interest?[/b]

I don't ride but, I do live with two horses, actually they are my sons. My son who is 22 works at a barn riding and training horses. That was acatually one of the main reasons why we moved out west.

They are beautiful creatures - I love being around them but, I must admit I do like my feet firmly on the ground.

Do you show?

I don't own a horse, but have had a love for horses my entire liaugh. As a kid we moved to a farm that
had a thorough bred and a shetland pony. The thorough bred was a beautiful big red named King louie,he was a mean horse,we were told not to go near the horse cause he was a biter. And unrideable he was mean the landlords son rode him but he was so mean to the horse,I felt sorry for the horse such a beautiful creature.I would sit on the back porch and watch him run he was beautiful to watch, one day I decided to make friends with him stuck a carrot in my back pocket.Walk out into his paddock he charged me but I stood my ground,he stopped we looked at each other he tried to bite me I pushed his head aside.I said I want to make friends just kept trying to bite me,I showed him the carrot he kept trying to bite I said to him you wanna bite me no carrot Did this for two weeks me carrots or sugar cubes it was a stand off,one day as I turned to walk away he come up behind me and took the carrot from my back pocket.Everyday after that he waited for me to come,we became friends one day I decided to to get on his back no bridal no saddle.I brought him up to the back porch and slid onto his back,I was terrified but he just walked off with me on his back like we had been doing this for years. For a month we did this carrot sugar or apple and I would get on his back ,I thought no one was watching but unknown to me the landlord was.One day he brought his son to the farm asked me parents to come out to the back, got their permission for me to get on the horse's back my dad was about to say no but the landlord said trust me I have been watching your daughter and that horse for a month.I want my son to to see.He asked to to get on the horse I did
and he walked as always with me,the landlord looked at his son and said see how you should treat a horse with kindness not as a bully.Louie the horse and I were best of friends for months I loved him . Brenda57
